At this year’s 2019 Screen Actors Guild Awards, some of our favorite celebrities were seen wearing stunning luxury jewelry pieces. The SAG Awards are an important Hollywood event that takes place each year as part of the awards season that runs every winter, and culminates in the Oscars in late February. The ceremony is a great opportunity for a sneak peak at some of the fine jewelry we’ll see on the red carpet in February, and is also one of the first spots to get a look at some trends that will play a big role in 2019.
Lady Gaga took to the silver carpet adorned in statement pieces from Tiffany & Co. As two elegant picks from Tiffany’s 2019 Blue Book collection, her 18k, diamond studded choker and earring set drew interest from the audience and media at the awards show. The overall theme is one of sustainability and an appreciation of nature; while the flower earrings themselves are a powerful symbol, her chosen diamonds are sustainably sourced. Spectators might have also noticed her Tiffany 18k narrow bracelets as she strolled down the carpet.
But Gaga wasn’t the only celeb showing off Tiffany & Co luxury jewelry. Chadwick Boseman of Avengers and Black Panther fame also arrived at the awards ceremony with 18k Tiffany rings, bracelets and a diamond brooch. If celebrity trends are any indication, brooches are growing in popularity and should continue to be a unique yet trendy piece for both men and women alike in 2019 and beyond. Aside from his fashionable Tiffany staples, Boseman also sported Christian Louboutin velvet and suede dress shoes, a choice that stood out on the silver carpet.
Finally, Boseman’s co-star in Black Panther, Lupita Nyong’o graced the awards ceremony with a beautiful statement piece from Messika’s 2019 collection. Her diamond chandelier Flit earrings were a favorite at the event and garnered her plenty of praise. With supermodel Gigi Hadid as their brand ambassador, the Parisian lux brand Messika is a favorite among millennials, celebrity or not. We’re looking forward to seeing what other unique jewelry choices Lupita has in store for future Hollywood shows this year.
